Kemopetrol, the improved Kommarit squad, was started in june, 2001.

The special-sounding name of the squad was stolen from a Czech hockey team, Chemopetrol Litvínov. The name was slightly modified, because Chemopetrol would have been 1 letter too long, when the Subspace screen can only show up to 10 letters.
